Long spacing collagen
Web20 de set. de 2012 · In vitro, by varying the conditions to which the monomer building blocks are exposed, unique structures ranging in length scales up to 50 microns can be constructed, including not only native type fibrils, but also fibrous long spacing and segmental long spacing collagen. Weblong-spacing collagen fibers dividing the tissue in many compartments (Figure 3A). Fibrous long-spacing col-lagen the period length of which was in the order of 200 nm in this case (Figure 3B), is not described in the literature to be specific for any disease, but has been found in a variety of normal and pathological tissues.
