WebTo become a miner you usually need to undertake a traineeship in extractive industries (operations) (level 2 or level 3), surface extraction operations (level 2 or level 3), or underground metalliferous mining (level 2 or level 3). The traineeships usually take between 12 and 24 months to complete.
