Heading 1 not showing in table of contents
WebMay 21, 2024 · How do I prevent an embedded object picture from appearing in the table of contents in a Word 2013? The pictures of embedded documents (Excel and PDF) are showing up in the description line in the table of contents. Word 2013 is assigning the icons a Heading 1 Style and will not let it be changed to any other style.

Then I click on the 3 vertical dots on the upper-left of the TOC again, right click the TOC textarea and select Toggle Field Codes again to revert it back to its' text.
