My point is it's not necessary...but if it makes you feel better then do it. As far as the crank shaft problems...way overblown. Synthetic allows for longer intervals, but 10K is pushing it, IMHO. 5K for primary, or even 10K if using synthetic. 10K for trans. Syn3 for the dirt driveway to keep dust down.
