I have and old 870 wingmaster 30" that I opened the choke up to 17 thousands and it shoots steelshot great , I shoot. 1 1/4 oz # 1's out of the 3" gun at high flying birds . NEVER shoot any size steel shot through ANY full-choked gun. A "ringed" barrel (or worse) is in your future if you attempt it. BobK.
