They could still be good but may have some corrosion or varnish build up that could cause a bad contact. If all looks great there, then check your battery. Lots of power, but intermittent. Sometimes at full throttle, engine cuts out. Today, limp mode. I can ride, but only to a max of 50km/h. Get passed that blip and it's smooth again just not quite as much power. I'd say once you get to 10 mph it's smooth again, at least responsive.
